Title:	The Massive and Distant Clusters of WISE Survey

Abstract:	The Massive Distant Clusters of WISE Survey (MaDCoWS) is a comprehensive program to detect and characterize the most massive galaxy clusters in the Universe at z~1 over the full extragalactic sky. During the first phase of this program we concentrated on cluster candidates that lie within the SDSS footprint, where foreground galaxies can be most efficiently rejected by our search algorithm. In this talk I will give an overview of the survey and present recent results from targeted follow-up of MaDCoWS clusters using Spitzer and CARMA as well as ground-based spectroscopy. I will demonstrate that MaDCoWS is efficiently isolating the cluster population at this epoch, and discuss potential improvement by incorporation of data from upcoming optical surveys.
